MSDE is collaborating with MAESP to provide a limited number of seats (10 ) for this one day workshop which is actually 'day two' of the 2018-2019 Promising Principals Academy.  The attendees participating in the Promising Principals program - assistant principals, central office staff, and teacher leaders - are engaged in a yearlong academy designed to build capacity for a successful transition to the principalship.

This one day only 'stand alone' workshop offered to MAESP and MASSP will focus on Equity in Education.  The tentative agenda:

9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Topic: Equity in Education

11:30 - 12:30 - Lunch and reflection on the morning presentation
Facilitated by leadership coaches and Debon Lewis
12:30 - 2:30 Topic: Turbulence Theory
Facilitator: Dr. Steven Gross, Temple University College of Education - participants will examine the current context around equity in education, a democratic leadership approach to respond to the context and an application of Turbulence Theory to school leadership.
